Connery Continued
In this Connery post we're going to hit two of the movies where he plays a supporting character. In all honesty, that's what Sean does best; playing supporting roles rather than taking to much of the spotlight. In his younger years he was probably the best man for the job but standing next to Nicolas Cage and Kevin Costner help with your credibility. Or is it the other way around? Sitting next to Sean Connery helped with Nicolas Cage's and Kevin Costner's credibility?
Anyway, if we've not figured things out we're talking about two very specific movies made some time ago. One back in the mid 90s, one year short of direct middle in-fact, and the was released just a few months after my own birth. Scary, huh?

Lets talk Sean Connery!
when is evil cool? has made aware that Sean Connery is eighty and has been retired from acting from some time but, in suit of our friend over at the previously mentioned blog, it feels important to mention which of his movies were the most awesome.
Bond is being ignored. Why? Cause that's to easy and we end up getting into Who's the better Bond arguments, which I'd like to avoid. Let us start this list with the most odd and least seen, at least by us at Solve Unamusement.
The Hunt for Red October is a film about a Russian submarine commander that basically goes AWOL and wants to blow up the US in a time that is otherwise peaceful among the nations. Needless to say, no one is happy about it and everyone tries to stop the crazy dude from completing his goal.
What's so odd about this is the fact Sean Connery is playing the Russian submarine commander but still sounds very Scottish. Call me an ignorant American but isn't that.... wrong?

Some time ago Fiddler on the Roof was playing on the TV and with the show being somehow always a sit-down-and-watch, it ate a good chunk of my day. Odd how a story that doesn't relate to my personal self in any context what-so-ever is so amusing on each and every sit-down. Anyway, here is some TRADITION for those of you unaware of the oddly awesomeness of this film.

The post from yesterday, yesterday for you but only a couple of moments for me, about the magic that is "The Bogeyman" was brought on by a movie with an aptly named title. Think really horribly-awesome grade-z film with a dash of really bad CG at the very end of it.
Bogeyman and Bogeyman Two are, to say the least, comical if not by accident. Then again, most horror films are somehow accidentally comical in one manner or another. Out of the two, the second is most fun but only because it is ground more on reality than some Scottish Fairy turned Swartzenager.

Boogie Man Gets a Bad Rap
We have all heard of him and we have all seen him in some form or another. There is the typical but not unsatisfying Monster in the closet with his flesh eating behaviors and general bad mood. There is the "normal" Boogie Man and after those is the more common random-dude-breaking-into-your-house.

Like anyone in my age group, something from the 60s didn't happen across my board by anyone other than my Mother. The second or third CD I ever was to own was the soundtrack to a movie I had never seen. Not even knowing it was a soundtrack! In fact it was YEARS before the movie Yellow Submarine came across my television thanks to the magic of DVD.

So we all remember Tarboy and his awesomeness. Well the animator of that film has something rather interesting for the animation connoisseur. The animation is to a song that might end up going into that hated of labels, Rampage, but nothings nothing compared to future song irritations I have lined up for the lot of you.

Zombie Survivalist
So one tries to Google only to find something else and that is the most interesting of finds. The original search was for the Survival of the Dead trailer but as of this post the thing isn't on-site yet. Rather than search G4tv the first time, I instead chose to Google, like stated previously.
What was found was a short 8 minute Independent film about one guy's first few days in a suddenly aware zombie apocalypse. The film, itself, doesn't show many zombies but the feel of the film has a nice creepy edge to it. The film is first person POV so anyone who doesn't enjoy that view-point of films will be instantly turned off.

Laughing Poppins (Movies)
What movie and what part? Come now, reader. Do you expect me to explain every small detail for you? Perhaps the tape measure needs be pulled out to see how you measure up? Then again, you could always look at that image to the right and simply know what is going on.
Mary Poppins! That's right, the one and only "Marry-freaking-Poppins" is here and going to tell you all about how to behave. Sing, dance, learn a little thing here and there but remember not to enjoy your time to much. You don't want to be lauging hard and end up on the ceiling.

The internet is good for finding random/odd randomness and sometimes it is disguised as artwork. Who labels most of these items "art" is the artist themselves, most is along the lines of "abstract" and "interpretive". What I intend to speak on, right now, is not your typical type of art. Granted, a few of those posts are art only in certain eyes, I am speaking of something extra odd/quirky.

At first, looking at the title makes you go "Huh?". Well seeing @GamersDaily posting the headline, here, without the /Citizen part made me curious so thus to say it'll make others curious as well.
Now, I've not seen the movie "Law Abiding Citizen" but I'd really like to. The trailer, however, is all over the place and has been for some time now. The plot to the film doesn't look all that deep, keyword of "look", but that doesn't mean some fun can't be had.

Anyone who has seen or heard of Zombieland knows there are at least 32 rules to surviving a zombie apocalypses. The difficulty is anyone who is smart, or greedy, doesn't share all that information. Don't need everyone knowing the rules as you do need a patsy or two.
With only a few of those rules shared, let us create some of our own. There are 32 in total so lets see if we can make a good idea of how to survive when the proverbial shit hits the literal fan.

- Rule# 1 Cardio: Run fast and make sure you can keep running. When you can't run those sprinting zombie monsters are gonna get'cha.
- Rule# 2 Beware of Bathrooms: Zombies somehow know when your pants are down. Best do not let them have that opportunity.
- Rule# 3 Seatbelts: Safety first! When the world is going to hell and people aren't paying attention, you better buckle up for when someone smashes into your car at 5+0mph.
- Rule# 4 Double Tap: When unsure, make sure. An extra 15 seconds to smash that zombie on extra time in his face hole will keep you alive for more than the 15 seconds it took to do so.

Not much to say or do on this one. Just a quick and simple post to go with the fact that it is currently twelve noon, as of write up, and that PSO has eaten a full day and a half of this writers attention.
One of the few MMO type of games which has ever done this to the extent that it keeps doing in keeping one up all night. Look into it (though a new installer might be needed which can be obtained via comment on either post and offered due to being free a program) and get back around to maybe playing.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Originally a story by Judi Barnett, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is the story of a small town in the middle of nowhere which eventually has the very basic issue of it is raining food from the sky.
The movie adaptation of this book, however, strays a bit (at least to directly knowledge) from the original story. While its a great film (And can technically be seen in 3D) just don't expect it to be that story you remember as a kid.

But something goes awry: the food falling from the sky gets larger and larger, causing the residents to make an escape before being squashed by giant pancakes or rolls. Nuit Blance is a very short black and white film done with/by Spy Films in which is wonderfully well done moment has been detailed. The movie also has some excellent graphics and/or visual effects.

When Fantasia came out (at least on VHS) this blogger could not have been that far into elementary school. At this time such a long and music driven movie tends to cause an urge to sleep. However such a movie was usually played as background for such things as Lego building or drawing in an art pad.
