Unamusement Wishes

Weekly Dose of WTF
All two of you regular readers will be fully aware of some other WTF that has graced Solve Unamusement, with Cycles and Pixels (maybe broken vids to lazy to fix) being placed front and center at one point in time.
Well today we're going to toss some more WTF. Yes, that is correct drear reader one out of two, you are about to piss away three to five minus on something you knew ahead of time was just a mindless waste of said time. What else is Solve Unamusement for anyway, unbiased and realistic journalism? I think not!

Second Thursday Line Up
Some time ago there came a Thursday line up made special for the readers of Solve Unamusement. Now, this very Thursday the post is being hosted on, it returns with a fury.
Out of the two, Burn Notice stayed on this watchers radar but Royal Pains slowly slipped itself into an issue or two. The main problem, here, was that the concept of having a doctor in an area running interesting plot lines was cool (or whatever) the fact that "people broke around the guy" just didn't fit. Imagine a show about a firefighter who doesn't work at a fire station, happening across things that happening to be caught on fire and this happening every week or two. That just doesn't make a lot of sense, nor does people randomly getting sick in a public restaurant just because someone in the place has a medical license.
Ignoring that very abrupt and painful plot hole and you've got yourself an interesting show, to say the least. However what grabbed this watchers attention was one promo and a marathon last Sunday of season one.

Boogie Man Gets a Bad Rap
We have all heard of him and we have all seen him in some form or another. There is the typical but not unsatisfying Monster in the closet with his flesh eating behaviors and general bad mood. There is the "normal" Boogie Man and after those is the more common random-dude-breaking-into-your-house.

Who of you watches "Hollywood Squares" on TV? Me either (at least not anymore), but a friend of mine directed me to a funny bit which happened to have happened on life television. At least it is implied to be live TV but I highly doubt that.
Hollywood Squares is basically two people going up against each other in a game of Tic-Tac-Toe where they win either Xs or Os, depending which booth they happen to be sitting in, by agreeing with or disagreeing with celebrities who answer questions. Most of these questions seem like something you'd see on that newer show "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" which makes this bundle of fail, very amusing.

Cleaning The ReBoot
Found some dust bunnies! Not literally, of course, did Solve Unamusement have dust enough to be alive and shouting profanity. So upon cleaning the left overs that was that horrible pile of bookmarked items that went on forever and took a long while to compile, there was stuff worth mentioning separately.
One of those items was a cartoon from my mid-teens-ish. It played on Cartoon Network after school from around my sixth grade year until ninth or tenth. That's a good run time for a cartoon, when it actually has a plot. That's right, one of the first Saturday Morning Cartoons posted that had a running and working plot. Though if it was stated this plot involved a mainframe, incoming game warnings and the literal word "Reboot", you might already get whats going on.

Epic April (Television)
On Monday, April 5th 2010, there was the beginnings of an epic of all epic months. Thanks to Attack Of The Show's EPIC APRIL and a not so friendly thought on the new iPad we are given a great bounty of music awesomeness. There was so much more within that week and even more to com on this Epic of Aprils.

Rocko's Modern Life (Cartoons)
Rocko's Modern Life is based on a wallaby named Rocko who moves from his home country (Australia) to avoid being mistreated by a bully. Once in America, Rocko meets a strange cast of characters from a hypochondriac turtle (Filbert) to a steer raised by wolves (Heffer).
But lets get to what makes rocko's Modern life awesome and that is the show itself. The intro and a little bit of Filbert for those who have been extra calm in reading, or skipping, what was here.
The World Is Just Awesome
This was done a couple years back, give or take, but is still played once in awhile on the Discovery Channel and, frankly, is one the the best Discovery Channel linked advertisements this writer has seen. Though not sure how much that is worth.
The song is very true, especially from a scientific standpoint. The world is, indeed, just awesome. So much to it that so many people have not discovered and learned even the smallest of things and we, as the human race, still learn things each and every day.

The Golden Age of Video
Epic movies plus some epic television mixed in with some really good background type music all mixed together to form what was the past century in what it meant in terms of television and movies alike.
The funny thing about this is that I, personally, have seen more than enough of those films to be able to understand what and where without to much direction. Suppose that means the television raised me a bit more then it should have.

As stated before, the creator and operator of Solve Unamusement is what one might call a "nerd". This is okay, as it means a wide range of topics to speak/type upon.

Don't care if you don't like the show, don't think trading card games are fun/cool or anything otherwise considered a "nay-say" as that song is cool. Yes, it's a TV show's theme song but it won't be the last one posted, either.

Leverage WATCH IT!
The show is about a group of 5 people, one of who is on sabbatical during this season and the half of last (which is slightly lame), who are effectively rob from the rich and give to the poor. A modern day Robin Hood tale with high tech computers and a "How we did it" ending.

It's a cool show with great humor, awesome action and a good plot to each episode. The running story is slightly nonexistent, even in the earlier episodes where the story was obvious, but as it's a TV show such things can be let go.
Racist Rabbit
A 1940's cartoon that was banned from the television for racism. The racism is very obvious with the one character being a horrible stereotype beyond an understanding for even the 1940's but the cartoon itself is just mediocre.
Several of the jokes are done several times and could have been done better. One of those being the "Sucker", which is done something around four times. An alternative, which has gotten other cartoons banned but as this one was banned anyway, would be the "jackass" image.
Souther Fried Rabbit
While I understand why it was banned, the cartoon isn't that funny. Yes, it is worth a chuckle and yes it's horribly racist on many levels. However, labeling the youtube video racist and racism absurd. I think "Banned" or "Banned from TV" would have done very well.

Romance Mathematics (The Dot and the Line)
A match up that has been already discussed, here, made another small contribution to the world other then that full length movie. I speak of the combo of Norton Jester and Chuck Jones with the contribution of "The Dot and the Line".
Its a clever cartoon and, like most of Chuck Jones' work, has a good solid moral to it. I believe the moral to be something along the lines of "Don't judge a book by its cover" but with current net issues I am having difficulty viewing the cartoon at this time.

Its a clever little thing, this cartoon. Its simple in animation but the story is wonderfully done. Although, I do wish the line would tell that dot she could just go away now. After all that work and effort, now the female wants something to do with him. Good for the line! He's an idiot, but good for him!
